CORINNA WILDERNESS EXPERIENCE

 
Corinna is an historic mining town, set in ancient rainforest on the banks of the majestic Pieman River in western Tasmania. Corinna is, as the eagle flies, 60km north of Strahan, 70km west of Cradle Mountain and 12km from the wild west coast. It sits at the south end of the Tarkine - the largest temperate rainforest in Australia - and is the northern most point where the famous Huon pine grows. This ancient unbroken tract of rainforest shows a world beyond human memory and is a living link with the ancient super continent Gondwana. 		 
With the purchase of the township of Corinna, the Corinna Wilderness Experience is being developed. Original cottages have been restored externally to their original condition and all cottages upgraded internally with quality linen and modern appointments. Newly constructed two bedroom cabins were completed in late 2006.
Guests staying in the cabins will have free access to guided walks and will have a		   suite of other experiences available to them. Other visitors are welcome to access the river cruises and Corinna experiences.

The site is solar powered with back up generators and gas hot water heaters. While the cabins have a certain rustic external experience inside is in contrast. Pure rainwater on tap, make the Corinna Wilderness Experience an oasis in the wild.
