Platypus House is a unique attraction being the only venue in Tasmania where visitors can watch Tasmania Platypuses and Echidnas in daylight conditions in an indoor setting.


Visitors are guaranteed to see these spectacular egg laying mammals "the Monotremes" actively feeding during their tour and you are assured of many great photgraphic opportunities.

 
Every tour has:
* A fully guided tour of platypus ponds to watch platypuses feeding and playing
* A walk through the garden to see echidnas foraging in a bushland setting
* An Interpretation Centre explaining the biology of both platypuses and echidnas
* A theatrette showing a 15 minute film on Platypuses
