You'll also see platypus up-close at the Platypus House attraction, pass the Tamar's famous Batman Bridge and call in at the quaint Swiss-style village of Grindelwald. Experience the magical splendour of Cradle Mountain. Discover the natural beauty of this World Heritage-listed National Park - waterfalls, rainforest, glacial lakes and wildlife. Highlights of the tour begin as you travel through historical towns, past Australian Blue Gum and pine plantations and visit Sheffield to view the town murals. You can then browse the Cradle Mountain Visitor Centre before choosing from the walks on offer such as The Enchanted Forest Walk to see the pencil pine, lush forest and a beautiful waterfall - Dove Lake, which has spectacular views of Cradle Mountain. You may even come across some wild life such as wombats, potaroos and wallabies. You can also visit the Waldheim Chalet, the forest home of Austrian-born pioneer, Gustav Weindorfer, before heading home, stopping at Ashgrove Cheese Farm to sample some of Tassie's finest cheeses.
