The constable's office and his residential quarters have been converted into a delightful self-contained cottage of 2 bedrooms (one double and one with 2 single beds), dining room, living room with open fireplace and kitchen areas.The holding cells are now the toilet and bathroom with the original cell doors still in place to give an unforgettable experience of days gone by.
The old constable's horse Stables has been transformed into a romantic garden cottage just for two. Fully self contained, this studio cottage is surrounded by garden views from every window. A wood heater wards off those cooler nights. The Old School House has been recently renovated from Bicheno's original Primary School. Moved to Bicheno in the 1920's the building educated the town's children |
until today's school was built. An open plan cottage, fully self contained with wood heater it is ideal for families with a double bed downstairs and twin beds upstairs on an open mezzanine level. The cottage also has disabled facilities.
All three self contained cottages are non-smoking with off-street parking and individual garden settings and barbecues. Mary Harvey's Restaurant is situated in the grounds offering fine Tasmanian food and wines, which includes fresh local seafood, game and succulent beef. Meals can also be served in the cottages. |
