'Let us be your guide and enjoy a magnificent Tasmanian trout fishing holiday.' Ausprey Tours provides a personalised fully guided service for the experienced and beginner angler wanting to fish for wild brown and rainbow trout in Tasmania's natural environment.

Guides: Ausprey guides have the teaching skills, the experience and in-depth knowledge of the fishing environment and fishing techniques to enhance the fishing experience for all clients. Guides are members of the Tasmanian Professional Trout Guides Association.

Central Highlands (Day Trip)
This trip visits Tasmania's Central Highlands district. Fish for wild brown and rainbow trout in lakes such as Arthurs Lake, the Great Lake and Little Pine Lagoon, or head out to the Western Lakes, a World Heritage Area.

Great Lake Hotel/Central Highlands
(Accommodated/Meals and Guiding - two or more Days)
Designed for the angler requiring an overnight or extended trout fishing experience complete with Central Highland accommodation and hearty food. Accommodation is provided at the Great Lake Hotel. Fish in the evening for the 'evening rise', at dawn when the fish are tailing and during the day when fish are gulping mayflies!

Northern Tasmanian Rivers (Day Trip)
Enjoy walking and wading in search of pan-sized speckled wild brown trout.

  Fly Fishing Tuition (Day Trip)
Created for anglers - novice or experienced - who wish to develop their fly fishing skills. Learn about casting techniques, tackle selection, entomology, reading lakes and stream craft.

Central Highlands Lodge

The Central Highlands Lodge is situated on the Great Lake within minutes of many of Tasmania's finest trout fishing waters such as Arthurs Lake, Little Pine Lagoon and the Western Lakes. Experience the hospitality, comfort, privacy and warmth of the Lodge with its open fireplaces, fully stocked bar, fishing library and fly-tying corner - all of which will make your trout fishing holiday unforgettable. Enjoy a cooked or continental breakfast and superb dinner prepared by the Lodge's resident chef.
